A Tribute to Pioneers
The Baynesfield Museum Complex is a true gem, offering a window into the past just 50 minutes from Durban and 20 minutes from Pietermaritzburg on the R56. It stands as a memorial to the incredible achievements of the colonists who arrived in Natal in the 1850s and 1860s. Among them was Joseph Baynes, whose vision, hard work, and contributions greatly shaped the young colony.
We invite you to discover the fascinating stories and timeless beauty of Baynesfield Estate Museums and Gardens!
